Polaris

Chivalric Tragedy at the Utmost North

"...Once, there would have been no need for Knights, when the sky was dark and perfect, the starlight pure and cold, and the people without fear or flaw. But that time is over now, and the call for Knights has never been greater, for there is only one order, your order, the Knights Stellar, that stand opposed between the remnants of the people and the demons that would devour them..."

Polaris - Chivalric Tragedy at the Utmost North.

The Protagonists

You serve as Knights of the Order of the Stars, the heroes of the people. You face the Mistaken head on as the last line of defense and are the only hope of stopping a total annihilation. As knights you are bold, true and brave. We must not trivialize your inevitable passing into corruption, evil, despair and death, but should mourn it openly.

Premise

Long ago the people were dying at the end of the world. But hope is not yet lost, for you still hear this song of the stars.

This is a game about a dying people and the brave struggle of their knights against the Mistaken and their sun, while the people the knights are sworn to protect are suffocating from their own decadence.

Players Wanted

Polaris is best with three or four players, and there's no gamemaster. It takes about 12-40 hours of actual play from start to finish, roughly 3-10 game nights. It is quite ceremonial in play, with a set procedure for starting and ending play. Bring some wine, and together we'll tell the story of the end of the world.
